Excellence at A level
Our Head, Mrs Jane Huntington (pictured above with some of our Sixth Formers), was delighted with this year's A Level results, particularly since The Park specialises in the most demanding of traditional academic subjects.
For the seventh year running our students achieved a 100% pass rate at A Level. 41% of all grades were A* - A and 85% of all subjects taken were awarded A* - C grades.
Outstanding individual successes included Head Boy, Adam Coppard, who achieved six A Levels, one with A* and five with A grades, in addition to an AS Level also at grade A. Adam will take up his place to study Discrete Mathematics at Warwick University.
Thomas Sankey achieved four A Levels, two with A* and two with A grades and he will have a gap year whilst he applies to study History at Cambridge.
Paul Lang achieved three A Levels one at A* and two at A grades. Paul will be having a gap year whilst he applies to study Dentistry. (Adam is centre in the image below with Thomas left and Paul right).
Mrs Huntington was equally pleased with the performance of other candidates. She said, "What really matters to us is that all of our students achieve their potential, whatever their abilities. Thanks to our small Sixth Form classes, individual attention from teachers and a great deal of sustained hard work, many of our students lived up to or surpassed their expectations. I am very proud of them all."

There were also some very good results in the AS examinations taken by members of the Lower Sixth. Mrs Huntington remarked, "This is a very promising start and I have high hopes for these candidates in next year's A Levels."
