Summer Ball

The excitement mounted as Senior students quickly vacated the school in order to present themselves looking at their very best for the annual school ball, as shown above by Olive, Kate and Lucy. This year our celebration of school life - and an opportunity to let one's hair down after the rigours of the examination hall - was held at The Northover Manor Hotel, Ilchester. Students arrived in a variety of amazing ways, from trendy sports cars and a vintage Morris Minor to the big, red double-decker bus whose occupants are pictured below.

After photographs on arrival and exclamations over each other's transformation into beautiful belles of the ball, the ladies were escorted to their tables by the smartest of beaus who ever graced our presence.

The dinner was delicious and conversation at the tables animated. When all were satisfied the dancing began and continued with great energy until carriages returned to collect the revellers at midnight.
